My Annie (miniature dachshund) doesn't mind going here at all. She walks right up to and through the door. Colleen and the staff take spectacular care of her while I am at work. I am so thrilled I found this kennel for her. I know she is safe and loved. I highly recommend Hound's Hideaway!

Very good boarding care for our cat. And the 'hostess' cat Nellie is about the cutest cat ever.

The owner was absolutely amazing and the kennels were clean and well taken care of. Each cat had his own private space and a little balcony to go outside. It was perfect for our vacation in Montana.

My cat has visited twice now for 1 week visits. She comes back happy every time! Would love to see them add a cat room camera.

My dog Roxy seemed to be in great spirits, and not stressed out when we picked her up from a 10 day stay, friendly staff and reasonable rates. Thank you Coleen!

Colleen was awesome with my dogs and took really great care of my puppy on her first time away from home. They came back happy and squeaky clean! Thanks

Why Regular Baths Matter

Between mud season, lake water, trail dust, and winter road salt, Flathead Valley dogs earn a proper bath more often than most.

Frequently Asked Questions

Most dogs do well with a bath about every 4 to 8 weeks, depending on coat type. Washing much more often than that can dry out a dog's skin, so between baths a good brush out goes a long way. Muddy springs and shedding seasons are when most valley dogs need one sooner.

Every bath includes a shampoo suited to your dog's coat, a thorough rinse, drying, and a brush out. It is a bath service, not a haircut, so there is no clipping or styling involved. Nail trims are a separate $18 add-on that takes just a few minutes.

Baths run $25 to $50 depending on your dog's size and coat length. A short-haired small dog sits at the low end, a long-haired extra-large dog at the top, and every price is posted before you book a bath, with nail trims at a flat $18. A 4% fee applies to card payments.

Overgrown nails change how a dog stands and walks, straining toes and joints over time, and long nails catch and tear in crusty snow. Most dogs need a trim every month or two, sooner for dogs that mostly walk on soft ground. Ours are quick, calm, and $18 flat. Book a nail trim any time.

Bath time depends on the dog's size and coat, and a heavy shedding season adds brushing time. Nail trims take only a few minutes on their own. Call ahead to set a time and we will have everything ready when you and your dog arrive.

Dogs come in for baths from all over the Flathead Valley. That includes Bigfork, Columbia Falls, Coram, Evergreen, Hungry Horse, Kalispell, Kila, Lakeside, Marion, Somers, West Glacier, and Whitefish. Many families pair a bath with dog boarding, and we offer cat boarding in its own quiet building too.
